Terms & Conditions of Service

The Package Moving & Storage provides professional residential, office, packing, and inter-county relocation services across Kenya. Our standard service includes:

• Professional packing of household/office items using moving cartons, bubble wrap, and furniture blankets.
• Dismantling and reassembly of standard wooden furniture, beds, and tables by our trained crew.
• Loading into enclosed, clean moving trucks and safe transportation.
• Offloading, unpacking, and placement of furniture into designated rooms at the destination.

We pride ourselves on transparent, honest pricing with zero hidden fees:

• Binding Estimates: All quotes issued following a physical survey, virtual video survey, or accurate inventory list are binding flat rates.
• Scope Changes: If additional rooms, unlisted items, or unexpected extra stops are added on moving day, rates will be adjusted prior to loading.
• Payment Schedule: Full payment or remaining balance is due upon arrival at the destination prior to final offloading, unless prior corporate credit terms were approved.

To ensure a smooth moving timeline, customers agree to:

• Ensure property access, parking permits, and estate/building management clearance (COI / estate gate passes) are arranged before the moving crew arrives.
• Be present or designate an authorized representative during the entire packing, loading, and unloading process.
• Disconnect and drain washing machines, refrigerators, and electronic appliances prior to crew arrival.

For safety and legal compliance, the following items cannot be loaded into our moving vehicles:

• Hazardous Materials: Flammables, cooking gas cylinders (unless completely empty), paints, chemicals, or explosives.
• Valuables: Cash, jewelry, passports, deeds, title documents, and personal confidential files. Clients must carry these personally.
• Perishables: Unsealed fresh food items that may spoil during transit.

We treat every item with extreme care. However, in the event of unforeseen transit loss or damage:

• Standard Valuation Coverage: Included with every move to cover unexpected damage caused directly by crew handling.
• Inspection & Reporting Window: Customer and move manager complete a final walkthrough upon offloading. Any claims must be noted on the job sheet or filed in writing within 7 days of move completion.

We understand moving dates change. We offer flexible schedule adjustments:

• Rescheduling: Free date changes provided notification is given at least 24 to 48 hours prior to your scheduled move date.
• Weather & Acts of God: In the event of severe flooding or impassable roads, moves may be delayed slightly to protect crew and cargo safety.

For goods placed in our Nairobi storage units:

• Storage is billed on a monthly or weekly basis as agreed in writing.
• An itemized inventory checklist is signed upon entry into storage.
• Access to storage units requires 24-hour advance notice for security clearance.
